In response to the heavy rains that lashed Chennai on 03 December 2025, Chennai Food Bank swiftly initiated an emergency relief effort in the Irular Colony Street, Ward No. 9, Nandiambakkam.
The intense rainfall severely disrupted daily life, leaving residents—especially from the tribal community—unable to cook or access basic food. With over 300 families affected, immediate intervention was critical.
Timely Action, Immediate Impact
Understanding the urgency of the situation, Chennai Food Bank mobilized resources and distributed freshly cooked food packets to all 300 affected families, ensuring that no one went hungry despite the challenging conditions.
