A Grand Day of Joy and Belonging: Apna Bana Lo 2025 Celebrates Childhood at Its Best

In 2025, Chennai Food Bank, now known as RYA Metro Foodbank, marked a vibrant and joyful milestone in its Apna Bana Lo journey by hosting 5,000 God’s Own Children for a full day of celebration, excitement, and togetherness.

The event was held at VGP Universal Kingdom, transforming the theme park into a space filled with laughter, colour, and carefree joy. For thousands of children from underprivileged backgrounds, the day offered a rare opportunity to experience the thrill of rides, shared meals, and the simple happiness of being celebrated.

Apna Bana Lo 2025 was formally flagged off by R. N. Ravi, Hon’ble Governor of Tamil Nadu. His presence underscored the significance of the initiative and highlighted the importance of collective responsibility in nurturing and uplifting children who need care and encouragement.

The purpose of Apna Bana Lo has always gone beyond entertainment. At its heart, the initiative seeks to offer emotional nourishment, dignity, and a sense of belonging. While hunger relief remains central to the organisation’s mission, events like these recognise that joy, exposure, and positive experiences play a powerful role in shaping a child’s confidence and outlook on life.

Community involvement was key to the success of this large-scale event. Coordinating transport, safety, meals, and access for 5,000 children required careful planning and collaboration. Volunteers, members, and supporters worked together to ensure that every child felt safe, welcomed, and valued throughout the day.

The impact of Apna Bana Lo 2025 was immediate and deeply felt. For the children, it created lasting memories of laughter, freedom, and shared celebration. For caregivers and volunteers, it reinforced the belief that compassion, when translated into thoughtful action, can create moments that truly matter.

This event stands as a shining example of Chennai Food Bank’s holistic approach to community welfare—one that recognises the importance of nurturing hearts alongside addressing physical needs. Apna Bana Lo 2025 reaffirmed a simple yet powerful truth: every child deserves moments of joy, dignity, and unconditional care.

Together, we continue our journey towards a hunger-free world.
