In 2013, Chennai Food Bank, now known as RYA Metro Foodbank, extended its commitment to hunger relief by supporting a large gathering of children at the Balakalakaar event—a celebration of creativity, participation, and youthful talent.
The event, conducted by AIESES at St George Grounds, brought together thousands of children for a day filled with performances and cultural expression. Amidst the excitement and energy, ensuring that every child was well-nourished became an essential part of the experience.
As part of this charitable initiative, Chennai Food Bank provided a delicious and wholesome lunch to 7,000 children attending the event.
